I’ve taken a few weeks off from writing because CHRISTMAS!! And VACATION!! And STOMACH VIRUSSSSS!! I get that one of these things is most certainly not like the others but I thought I should be honest about where I’ve been and what I’ve been up to– even if that includes calling Ralph on the porcelain phone (<– that joke compliments of my dad, hardy har har).
I realize I never showed up to the New Year’s Resolutions party and I’m definitely late to the let’s-talk-about-Christmas-and-how-much-fun-we-had party but today I’m doing as I please (maybe doing as I please can be my New Year’s resolution?). Late or not, get ready to for an epic holiday photopalooza.
We spent Christmas in Nashville with my family. There were Santa sightings and tornado warnings. Franny experienced her first Christmas and was a real sport about not being allowed to eat all the wrapping paper. Simeon was king of Christmas cheer and periodically shouted “BABY JESUS COMIN!!!” throughout the midnight nativity service in a valiant effort to keep the congregation awake. In other news, I’d like to retract my previous statements regarding two-year-olds at Christmas– three-year-olds are actually where it’s at (I reserve the right to change that to four-year-olds next year).
And now, PHOTO-PALOOZA!
Hope your holiday was just as jolly as ours. Christ is born! Happy New Year!
